Greetings world, Its your man stamps!!! I hope all is well your way and you are living your life to the fullest! Well i have finally caught up from some much needed rest. Last week Sri Lanka and now Mannheim, Germany until we leave for World Juniors in Barcelona, Spain. Well where should I start?? We had some ups and downs at the Asian Juniors but we did earn some Podium performances and we are very proud of those guys. We had a gold medal in the 400m hurdles, silver in the 4x400m and the 3000m steeple chase, bronze medals in 400m, 100m and shot put. The Gold medal in the 400m hurdles was the first in Saudi Arabian history so needless to say we are all super excited!!! The federation, my staff and managers all made it possible and as his coach this guy is a dream!! A fierce competitor and a very coachable athlete that with lil complaint puts it all out on the table every training session. Sri Lanka as a country is beautiful island even though the local food as good as it was did not agree with the ol coaches internal digestive highway:-):-):-) i have enclosed some pictures of the country as well as some shots of our athletes. We are in our final phase of training in preperation for the world juniors so gotta put the last couple of bails of hay in the barn then the harvest comes july 10th..... I miss you all but am enjoying this experience none the less... A big announcement is in the works i will tell you all very soon! Have a great day and oh yeah...#Heat!!! Yella..... |

Hello all,
As my last days in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came to a close, i took a while to ride around the city and and reflect on this amazing experience. I thought of the new things i got to experience, the friends gained, the new foods tasted and most importantly a up-close and personal experience inside to muslim culture. Which i must add is one of the most beautiful and compassionate i have ever had the chance to experience. To say they are mis-understood would be a gross understatement in its own. Such a humble and loving people, sitting back and seeing them on a daily will be different. But as i always say you dont know someone or something until you experience it for yourself. These next several weeks will be jam packed with travel. We are here in Sri Lanka until june 13th, then Germany, The US for a few days, Portugal, Barcelona and our final stop London for the 2012 Olympics... I cant believe i am still going... Kinda still sureal you know? But thats what going on so far this way! Stay tuned for some pictures updates on my facebook page. Love you all im out!!! LETS GET IT!!!!!

As last week we had our final competition inside "The Kingdom" I had
something happen that has never ever happened to me before. I had three hurdlers
fall in the same race on the same hurdle. I don't know if that is a sign of what
is to come but I am glad it came now Vs. World Juniors or the Olympics. I also
appreciate what this experience has done for my patience as a coach/teacher. I
know I could have gone off in classic "Stamps Style" but I just smiled and
embraced my guys.... They have worked so hard and all they was doing was what I
asked them. I said before their race as I often do with my athletes in the short
hurdles. "Run with reckless abandonment, if you are not on the verge of crashing
and burning you are not doing it right." and they all explained how fast the
hurdles were coming towards them. So we did accomplish one thing... Next up we
travel to Sri Lanka, for the Asian Junior Championship and that will be the
final stop till the World Juniors in Barcelona, Spain. I am so excited the World
Juniors are steadily approaching. My 400h Ibroheim is currently ranked 3rd in
the world among Juniors with a 400m time of 50.44! I believe he has what it
takes to run under 50 sec and possibly qualify for the Olympic Games!!! What a
blessing that would be. In all honesty he deserves it, he never complains and
never misses a rep or a set of anything we do. Well back to work.... The Grind
dont stop. I have a big announcement coming in the next 10-14 days.... so stay
tuned..... and before you think it... "NO, I am not getting Married" I love you
all and miss you all......
